The appalling reality of India's daughters.

Helpline numbers saved in every woman's cell phone hoping, wishing, praying that they never need to use them someday.
Broad daylight or hours of darkness, walking alone would only ignite fear because the roads are never safe especially for a woman because there are monsters out there lurking in the shadows, waiting to ambush innocents because they know they will be getting away.
The women today aren't terrified of ghosts and spooky horror tales anymore. We are more terrified of what is happening today, what could happen again someday, somewhere to some other woman which is far worse than any other horror story.
India, a country which echoes with the anguish and cries of innumerable women through the years. A country with easy going judicial system enforcing minimum punishment for such inhuman actions. A country which is devoid of ensuring justice for the victims who suffered, who still suffer today . A country which is a safe haven for the merciless perpetrators who are now walking freely after changing their identities. A country which is no longer safe for your daughter, your mother, your sister, your niece, your best friend or your lover. A country which sadly makes every woman now feel they wish they weren't a part of anymore.
